Burbank

Just north of downtown Los Angeles, Burbank is located in the eastern region of the San Fernando Valley and has a population of just over 106,000 residents.  Primarily referred to as an upper-middle class community, Burbank is predominately billed as the “Media Capital of the World.”  Several entertainment and media companies are headquartered within Burbank city limits.  Some notables include The Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers, and NBC Universal.

Burbank residents have it made when it comes to transportation.  Instead of having to deal with the hassle of LAX, Burbank residents are treated to their own small airport that beats the long lines and crowded scene at LAX.  Another plus regarding Burbank is its close proximity to just about every interstate that runs to and from Los Angeles.  Residents also have the advantage of riding the Metro, which includes over 189 bus lines with easy access to Amtrak and Metrolink train services.

Residents of Burbank are served by the Burbank Unified School District, which consists of several notable schools, both public and private.  The schools consistently score above national and state averages and have one of the best reputations in the state.  Woodbury University, which specializes in beauty and make up, is also located within Burbank city limits.
