Diamond Bar

Incorporated in 1989, the city of Diamond Bar is located in the eastern part of Los Angeles County and has a population of approximately 60,000 residents.  The name “Diamond Bar,” was named after the “diamond over a bar” branding iron, which was registered by Frederick E. Lewis. As is the case with most Southern Californian communities, Diamond Bar's history began with a Mexican land grant.  Diamond Bar is conveniently located at the junction of the Pomona and Orange Freeways.

Pomona is divided into two school districts:  Walnut Valley Unified School District and Pomona Unified School District.  Pomona offers 6 public schools, while Walnut Valley offers eight schools, all ranging from Kindergarten to high school.

Very similar to surrounding cities, Diamond Bar has experienced an influx of Asian Americans, mainly Filipino Americans.  There are approximately 17,651 households and just under 15,000 families residing in the city of Diamond Bar.

Diamond Bar owns and operates nine parks, several recreational trails, and recreation facilities throughout the city.  The nine city parks cover over 160 acres and offer everything from playgrounds to athletic fields, a skate park, tennis courts, and several areas to relax and spend some time away from everything else.  Diamond Bar is an affordable place for families and individuals looking for a relaxing place to live.
