Glendora

Glendora is an upscale city nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in the eastern part of Los Angeles County.  This scenic city, just an hour away from downtown Los Angeles, now has a population of approximately 54,000 residents.

Real estate investors will be happy to know that home prices doubled during a six-year stretch (from 2000-2006).  The average price of a home in Glendora now costs approximately $455,000.  Perhaps the reasoning behind that consists of Glendora's sparkling reputation.  The city has one of the nation's lowest crime rates, factored in with its lush parks, prestigious public and private schools, and terrific community services that are provided to locals.

Past test results have proven that Glendora offers its citizens an education second to none.  Their private and public school students scored 30-50 percent higher than California State averages.

Glendora offers a variety of parks and recreational facilities to its residents.  The Big Tree Park, located on S Santa Fe Avenue, is  a great spot for a picnic where kids are able to enjoy the playgrounds and sandy areas.  Big Dalton Campground offers visitors the chance to camp out in the wilderness.  The park has a hiking trail, fire rings, restrooms, and an amphitheater.
