Paramount

Paramount is located in the central part of Los Angeles County and is bordered by Compton to the west, South Gate to the north, Bellflower to the east, and Long Beach to the south.  The city had an estimated 55,266 citizens and just fewer than 15,000 households at the 2000 census.

Paramount has a total of nine public parks, along with two public swimming pools, and several other facilities within city limits that contain playground equipment, tennis and basketball courts, gymnasiums, etc.  Art enthusiasts are able to enjoy Paramount's Outdoor Art Museum, which offers an array of magical outdoor sculptures that reside along intersections. 

Transportation is simple in Paramount.  The city offers several modes of public transportation, including busing systems, taxi vouchers, and dial-a-ride programs for those in need of assistance.  Paramount also sits in between four major interstates, which allows easy access to nearby cities.

The economy within Paramount has grown tremendously over the years for a number of reasons, mainly its prime location between downtown Los Angeles and downtown Long Beach.  The city is proud of its business-friendly reputation, and the fact that it resides near the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach also benefits the city's economy. 

Paramount offers a small town feel with its friendly neighborhoods with quaint houses, but it's only moments away from city or beach life.  This is a well manicured city that offers affordable housing, as well as a good school system, reasons why this city will continue to flourish.
