Rosemead

Located in the western part of Los Angeles County in the San Gabriel Valley, Rosemead had an estimated population of 53,505 at the 2000 census.  At that same time, there were approximately 13,913 households and 11,632 families living in the city.

Rosemead resides eleven miles east of Los Angeles and is conveniently located just off of Interstate 10, while at the same time offering easy access to other major freeways such as Interstate 5, Interstate 605, and Interstate 710.  Rosemead's neighbor cities include Temple City to the north, El Monte to the east, South San Gabriel to the south, and Monterey Park to the west.

Even though most nearby attractions fall within Los Angeles city limits, Rosemead has a few attractions as well.  The Whittier Narrows Golf Course is a favorite for locals to play, and cultural sites within the area include the American Military Museum, which features exhibits from the Navy, Marines, Army and the Air Force.

Corporations located in Rosemead include Edison International, a nationally recognized electric company, as well as Panda Express and Huy Fong Foods.  The University of the West is also located in Rosemead, which is served by the Rosemead School District.
