Huntington Beach

Just north of Newport Beach, still on the Pacific Coast Highway, you'll arrive at the 10th largest city in the state of California.  Huntington Beach is home to just over 200,000 people, and a large majority of residents live in 1960s-era neighborhoods.  However, if you venture to Huntington Beach's waterfront, you'll find an upstart resort area built on what used to be a crazy surfing area.  If you turn inland from the beach, it will put you on two blocks of beach shops and restaurants, known as the Main Promenade.  The Huntington Beach Pier stretches 1,750 feet long and offers a beautiful mix of ancient and modern architecture.

The Bolsa Chica State Ecological Reserve offers 500 acres of partially-restored salt marsh, that is basically a pocket of wilderness in this boosting urbanized coast of Orange County.  Research proves that over 200 species of birds make the Bolsa Chica State Ecological Reserve their temporary home while traveling on their yearly migration.  The reserve is divided into two bays, the Inner Bolsa Bay and Outer Bolsa Bay.  The 1.5 mile trail gives visitors a tour around the inner bay and sand dunes, shaded by eucalyptus trees.   Bolsa Chica State Beach used to be called Tin Can Beach due to all of the homeless people that lived their a number of years ago.  Since then, the beach has certainly cleaned up its act and offers a great place to have a bonfire in one of their many concrete fire pits.

Huntington State Beach is probably the most sought after attraction within city limits.  Stretching 8.5 miles long, this beach is a popular place for cookouts any time of year.  The uninterrupted bike path that runs parallel to the beach is a common escape for rollerbladers, joggers, or cyclists.  It should be noted that the beach does get rather crowded during the summer months, especially on weekends.  It is estimated that this beach attracts ten million visitors a year, so there must be something good about it!

If you own, or ponder the idea of purchasing an RV, Huntington City Beach RV Facilities is the place for you.  Here you will find hundreds of spots available for RVs to hookup, and the facility even offers fire rings, outside showers, and sewage disposal.  The price is only $15 per night.

Located near Long Beach, Seal Beach, Newport Beach and Corona Del Mar, you are sure to wind up passing through these neighboring shores while strolling along Huntington Beach.  With real estate prices starting as low as $74,000, it is possible for anyone to purchase a home without spending their life's savings. Other properties can reach prices as high as $5.5 million. With 33 schools in the area, families and children can be assured education isn't an issue when relocating. With average temperatures of 44 degrees to 77 degrees, Huntington Beach, California is suitable for anyone, whether you're retiring, buying your first home or seeking a bigger house for your expanding family.
