Yorba Linda

Nestled in northeastern Orange County, Yorba Linda is approximately 40 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, and 13 miles northeast of downtown Santa Ana.  The area offers a variety of parks, including Valley View Sports Park, Hurless Barton Park, and Buena Vista Equestrian Center.  It's the perfect place to entertain kids and stay fit and healthy. 

Known for its prestigious school district, Yorba Linda is part of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School district, home to nearly 28,000 students.   There are several elementary and middle schools in the area, with public and private high schools scheduled to be completed by 2008.

Residents purchase fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers at the Yorba Linda Farmers Market, which is held every Saturday.   One of the largest malls in California, the Brea Mall is only 20 minutes away from Yorba Linda so locals never have to travel far to stay in fashion.

Golf fanatics enjoy Yorba Linda's Black Gold Golf Club, elected as one of the top 3 Golf Courses in Orange County by OC Register readers.   Black Gold is nationally known for its rolling hills, polished bunkering positions, challenging water positions, all while overlooking Long Beach and surrounding Orange County areas. 

The Susanna Bixby Bryant Ranch House and Museum was the winner of the 2001 Governor's Historic Preservation Award and is a great place for locals and tourists to view and celebrate the city's unique history.   Tourists visit Yorba Linda to tour the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace.  Resting on 9 acres, this site offers museums, exhibitions, and galleries that are sure to educate kids and adults about the former president.   During the summer, Yorba Linda offers a Family Concert Series, which is free and open to the public, hosting local bands and pianists.  The Fine Arts and Music Festival, in early June, offers a variety of arts and crafts, great food, and wonderful entertainment.

With an average temperature of 70 degrees to go along with beautiful views of the Santa Ana mountains, it's no surprise that CNN recently listed Yorba Linda as the 21st best place to live in the United States.
