Nestled within the southeast limits of Los Angeles County, Artesia is a petite city with a population of approximately 18,000.  Artesia is considered one of Southern California’s gateway cities, along with select others that reside in South and East Los Angeles County.

Named for the many naturally flowing Artesian wells in the area, Artesia offers a unique diversion of rural countryside that most cities in Southern California simply does not offer. 

Pioneer Boulevard Median, located just south of Artesia Boulevard and features several water fountains, vine-type flowers, and palm trees, is a perfect place to get away and relax.  The East West Ice Palace is co-owned by legendary Olympic Gold Medalist Michelle Kwan.  The ice skating rink is open to the public and is a perfect place for birthday parties or just a normal afternoon with the family.
 
There are approximately 2,300 single family owner-occupied homes within Artesia’s city limits, with the average value netting roughly $193,000.  Even though it is a fairly small city, Artesia has a wonderful location, affordable and safe housing, and great restaurants and lodging to boot.
