Open House Baldwin Park

Located in the center of the San Gabriel Valley region, Baldwin Park is one of Los Angeles County’s larger cities with a population of approximately 77,000.  The city is conveniently located just off Interstate 10 and the 605 Freeway.  Named after Elias J. “Lucky” Baldwin, in 1956 the city became the 47th incorporated city in the state.

It should be noted that Baldwin Park has one of the highest crime rates per capita in Southern California.  However, it should also be noted that the city is taking several steps to redevelop the area.  Currently, there are six Project Redevelopment Areas located within the city, with a common goal of cleaning up the streets.

Baldwin Park is served by the Baldwin Park Unified School District.  One of the larger school districts in the Los Angeles area, the district serves grades K-12 and has a student population of just over 17,500.

Morgan Park is the home to Baldwin Park’s summer concert series. The Cesar E. Chavez Amphitheater is located at 4100 Baldwin Park Boulevard and offers free concerts throughout the summer.  Another annual festival is the Taste of Baldwin Park, which is also held at Morgan Park.

There are approximately 10,000 homes located within Baldwin Park city limits.  The average home is listed at approximately $161,714, and the average rental price is $660.  City leaders are dedicated to making Baldwin Park a safe city to live in, but it's going to take a lot of time and effort to fulfill their goals.
