Bell Gardens

Incorporated in 1961, Bell Gardens is located smack dab in the middle of Los Angeles County. Bell Gardens is a very young city. Ever since its incorporation in ’61, the city has grown from a population of 4,000 to approximately 45,000 now.
Bell Gardens is one of five cities in Los Angeles County to permit casino gambling (the others are Inglewood, Gardena, Commerce, and Hawaiian Gardens). There are several well-built gambling establishments, but perhaps the most notable is none other than The Bicycle Casino, which has been selected to host several major poker tournaments over the years.
The city is known for its beautiful parks and lakes that are stocked with fish, several childcare centers, soccer fields, and a golf course designed exclusively for the community. Bell Gardens’ citizens are served by the Montebello Unified School District, which includes Bell Gardens High School. The district has a total enrollment of just over 35,000 students (K-12) and 30,000 adult-students.
The Gage Mansion, located in Bell Gardens, is the oldest house in Los Angeles County. Built in 1810, the Mansion is a spectacle to see and offers a good history lesson to people of all ages.
