Open House Bell

Located on the western bank of the Los Angeles River, Bell is located just north of South Gate, California. Bell is one of Los Angeles County’s smaller cities. At the 2000 census, Bell’s population was recorded at 36,664.
Most people remember Bell from the worldwide publicity it received in March of 2000. Fifty five Oscar statuettes were stolen when a trucking company was loading at a local dock.
The “Bell Family Holiday Parade and Festival” is a well known celebration that is held every winter. The parade and festival begins in Debs Park and wraps up at the Bell Community Center. This is a wonderful celebration that brings the community together each winter.
The historic James George Bell House is home to the city’s Chamber of Commerce. The historic site holds meetings and also showcases several different artifacts and antiques from the city’s founding family. The James George Bell House is free and is a great place for the family to tour.
The city of Bell is served by the Los Angeles Unified School District, which is made up of a variety of different schools. Bell High School is a very well respected high school in Southern California.
