Open House Bellflower

Located in the southwestern part of Los Angeles County and approximately 20 miles south of Los Angeles, Bellflower has been incorporated since September of 1957.  Bellflower currently has a population of approximately 78,000.

Years ago, the city was mainly used for dairy farming, but the growth of surrounding counties forced Bellflower to do away with the pastures by building subdivisions of single story houses.  Currently, there are approximately 24,000 households within Bellflower limits, with just over 17,000 families that call the fine city of Bellflower home.

The city of Bellflower is served by the Bellflower Unified School District, which is composed of three high schools, and eleven elementary and middle schools.  Transportation within Bellflower city limits is relatively simple.  Offering bus service, the city is located near Interstate 605, as well as Interstate 5 and Interstate 710.

Each summer, Bellflower holds several events, including the Summer Streetfest Concert Series, the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. Several Halloween Carnivals are held each fall, as well as the Liberty Day Parade.
