Located just 13 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, Carson has a total population of 94,826.  Carson is classified as a suburb of Los Angeles  and is also the youngest addition to the South Bay region of Greater Los Angeles.

Carson is mainly known as an industrial city, but it also thrives as a culturally diverse community known as a popular place to live and work.  The Pacific Rim offers unmatched transportation to its residents. 

Carson offers over 120 acres of parkland to its residents, and that land is divided up into 12 parks, 2 mini parks, 3 swimming pools, and a luxurious sports complex that is named the Carson Community Center.  Carson residents are served by the Los Angeles Unified School District, which allows its citizens to choose from a wide variety of schools. Carson is also the home to California State University, a major commuter school for surrounding cities.
