Open House Duarte

Duarte is a smaller city that is located in northeastern Los Angeles County with a population of approximately 22,000 residents. Pronounced “doo-ahr-teh” by local residents, but others unknowingly say “doo-wahr-tay.” Just to the north of Duarte lie the San Gabriel Mountains, while Bradbury and Monrovia are located west of Duarte. Irwindale resides just south of the city, while Azusa and Irwindale are located to the east of Duarte.
Duarte is considered by many as a very diverse community, but very friendly nonetheless. The city is composed of friendly neighborhoods, beautiful scenic parks made up of hiking and bike trails. There are several recreational gathering places within Duarte limits, something this city has dedicated itself to doing.
The city of Duarte has reiterated it time and time again that preserving and maintaining its history is one of the most important goals of the city. Perhaps the best example of this is the all-volunteer museum that is a perfect site for residents and visitors to view the tradition-rich history of Duarte.
