Decided to Sell Your Home? Skip the Fee, Try it Free

How would you like to skip those realtor fees? It's certainly easier on the budget, but selling your home on your own can be a little scary. You can find help on a multitude of For Sale By Owner (FSBO) websites, but not all FSBO sites are created equal. By being informed and looking for red flags, you can find one that will help you do the job right.
First, Google "sell my home" (with the quotes included.) Go down past the sponsored links at the top and start checking out sites. Look for the ones with a high-quality appearance and content written for the non-expert. You'll wan one with a broad array of services, not just forms.
After you've found a few that meet those criteria, see whether they've got partnerships with respectable institutions for offering you services from a trusted and established source. These are companies that have signed legal contracts, and they're held to a higher standard.
Also, skip the ones that want an up-front fee for home-listing services. Most of them will offer a free trial, and that's when you'll learn whether this company really offers what you need. Don't sign on for a fee until you know you're happy wither the service.
Going FSBO can be stressful and, depending on your market, it could take you a little longer to sell your home. However, if you don't have to pay a realtor, you can move into your new home with a bit more room in the budget.
