  1. Create a free account
  2. Add a new open house for sale or for rent
  3. Approve private showing requests or view open house sign-ups with My Calendar.
  4. Manage multiple open houses and view online visitor stats with My Open Houses.
  5. Utilize PlanOpen’s Resources.
  6. Print Open House Sign-Ups & Private Showings from My Calendar to use at your open house.

Scheduling
> Adding a New Open House


Once signed in to your PlanOpen account,

  1. Click on "Add a New Open House" in the navigation bar.
  2. Click the "Add a New Open House for Rent" tab if you adding a property for rent or lease.
  3. Add property details in the input boxes: Address, Property Information and Other Information sections.
  4. Choose to add features for greater listing vibility in the search results. (More...)
  5. In the "Listing Summary" page, scroll down to add pictures and video.
  6. Schedule Open House Dates in final section.
  7. Activate Your Listing

Your listing will be accessable in the "My Account > My Open Houses" section of your PlanOpen account.

>Adding Pictures, and Video to a listing.


  1. Access your open houses in the "My Account > My Open Houses" section of your PlanOpen account.
  2. Locate the open house you want to pictures or video to
  3. Click: r "Edit Property Information" (These links are also on the full property page.)
  4. On the "Listing Summary" page you can now add pictures and video.
    1. To add pictures, click on "Choose File" to access the file (.jpg format only) on your computer and click "submit"
    2. To add video, upload your video to a video hosting service such as YouTube and copy the Embed code into your listing. It should look something like this:

> Maps and Demographics

When adding an address to your open house listing, check to make sure it's recognize by Google so visitors can add your property to route their plans. To check for accurate mapping, from the "Add a New Open House" page or "Listing Summary" page, enter your address and click "Check It!".

If you see a green "ok", your address is valid. If Google is unable to recognize your address, remember that spelling counts, or click "Edit Address" to open a new Google Maps window and select a location manually.

> Paid Upgrade Features

You can purchase upgrades to your listing to add more pictures, video, and achieve greater visibility in search results. Upgrades include:

  • More Pictures: Add up to 16 more pictures to your listing for a total of 20.
  • Bold Lettering: Heavier text for a stronger title appearence.
  • Add videos: Add up to 5 videos for you listing.
  • Thumbnail rollover: When visitors move their mouse over your open house listing in the results section, a larger image will appear.
  • Upgrade your entire listing with these features and save.

Please Note: These features are applied to your listing regardless of visitor search criteria.

Purchase upgrades on the second step of "Adding a New Open House", or by clicking "Edit Property Information" from an active open house in your account under "My Open Houses".

> Edit a Listing

You can edit any charactertisic (property details, pictures, video, open house times, etc.) of your property at any time. To edit your listing, first login to your PlanOpen account using your email address and password.

  1. Click: My Account in the main site navigation.
  2. Click on My Open Houses
  3. Locate the open house you want to edit
  4. Clik "Edit Property Information"

You will now be at the Listing Summary page. Scroll down to edit any section of your listing.

> Listing Status


You can edit the status of your listing to inform searchers of the it's current state. These options include:

  1. Active - You property is for rent or sale and you currently welcome open house sign ups and appointments.
  2. Pending - A offer has been accepted and the transaction is taking place.
  3. Sold - Your property is no longer available.

> Delete a Listing


To
completely remove a property from the database, after logging into your account,

  1. Click "My Account"
  2. Then click "My Open Houses" tab.
  3. Locate the property listing you want to remove.
  4. Click on "Edit Property Information"
  5. On the "Listing Summary" page, click the link: "Delete Listing from Database"

Visitors who signed up to attend your open house will receieve an automatic email notification informing them of the removed property and possible canceled open house times.
