Canyon Lake

Midway between Sun City and Lake Elsinore and nestled in beautiful rolling hills lies an exclusive recreation oriented paradise. The City of Canyon Lake began as a master planned community which was developed by the Corona Land Company in 1968. The lake was formed in 1927, when the Railroad Canyon Dam was built, creating this beautiful area. Incorporated in 1990, the City of Canyon Lake is 4.6 square miles and one of only five gated communities in California.

Most of the homes in Canyon Lake are located within the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association and all but three roads are privately held and maintained. One of the special and attractive features of the city is that it is guard-gated and only accessible to residents and selected guests accepted within the POA. The 383 acre lake recreation area makes homes in this city a great vacation or year-round retreat. Half of the homes in the city have private boat docks and slips, but all residents have access to the lake to enjoy skiing, wakeboarding, fishing, swimming and kayaking.

Among the multimillion dollar amenities, residents enjoy the community's 18 hole golf course, country club and pro shop. The community lodge provides a 12,000 square foot social center with a heated pool, tennis courts, restaurant and lounge. Horse lovers enjoy the private equestrian center and trails. The low density growth plan assures that the area will remain un-crowded.
