Corona

Nestled at the base of the Cleveland National Forest, which separates Orange County from the Inland Empire region of California,, Corona is a prosperous and growing area.

Corona has an unmistakable richness about it which it owes to its vibrant history. The area is very historically significant being home to the Luiseno Indians, the site of the first Spanish settlers in Riverside County, the Temescal tin mines, as well as some of the best clay and mineral deposits in the United States. It is also home to the first lemon processing plant in the US built in 1915 as well as the world's largest cheese plant which opened in 1985 on Lincoln Avenue. The town was the foresight of developer Robert Taylor and partners who purchased the land and water rights in the area. In 1896 the residents voted to name the town Corona which is Spanish for “crown” in honor of the circular Grand Boulevard which encircled the town's main buildings.

Corona's growth has followed that of California at large, with the development of the 91 and I-15 freeways. Its ideal location lends to its continued growth and prosperity. It is 38 square miles with a population of 145,000 people. The area is very ethnically diverse with a significant population of young, well educated people. The area boasts of many first rate amenities including 394 acres of parks with tennis courts, skate parks, basketball courts, and an outdoor pool. Corona is also home to the world famous Fender Museum of Music and the Arts.
