Palm Desert

Well known as the cultural and retail center of the desert communities, Palm Desert is a beautiful city for home or business. It is an exciting mix of opportunities that makes living there a dream come true.

Once, Palm Desert was viewed as a winter retreat for those seeking warmer climates.  Now, however, it is a magnet of growth in the area to full time residents. One of the main draws is affordable but high-valued homes. The real estate market includes everything from multi-million-dollar homes to small starter homes and apartments.

Temperatures in the area have a yearly average of 88 degrees. The summer highs can be over 100 degrees, sometimes reaching 120.

The year round sunshine, luxurious atmosphere and continued growth potential also make this city a draw for entrepreneurs and corporate office teams. The strong local economy makes doing business in Palm Desert a great advantage.

The area has a number of private schools, three public elementary schools; a middle school, a high school, and a two-year community college, all of which provide a strong educational base. Recently opened is a permanent four-year California State University campus, a satellite of California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB).

The community has become increasingly diverse in people and culture. Surprisingly, Palm Desert is considered one of the “cradles” of the stoner rock movement and is home to the group Kyuss. Locals also enjoy the Living Desert Museum among many other amusements.
