San Jacinto

San Jacinto is one of Riverside County's oldest cities. One of the first overland routes to California, the Anza Trail, crossed the valley in the 1700s. The earliest outpost was built in 1820. It wasn't until the 1860s however, until a community began to form.  Today San Jacinto is a diverse city of about 35,000 people.

The city is fast becoming a point of migration as other areas are becoming more congested. Many are drawn to this quaint city located at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains and next to the San Jacinto River. The area offers affordable housing as well as many other amenities. It is home to the largest Super Wal-Mart in the state, and home to some of the most successful and profitable businesses in the region. Industrial and commercial development are major priorities for the city. The availability of affordable land makes the area poised for further growth.

San Jacinto is a city where you can still enjoy that home town atmosphere. There is no lack of community involvement, seen in the residents' dedication to preserving its culture and history. The City's local museum is a monument to the community's support and initiative. It was founded in 1939 and continues to this day because of dedicated citizenry.
