Chula Vista

Located seven miles south of downtown San Diego, Chula Vista is the second largest city (behind San Diego) in San Diego County.  The current population is approximately 227,723 and growing each year.  Filled with several master-planned communities, mild temperatures, and breathtaking views, Chula Vista is currently one of the United States' fastest growing cities.

Home to the United States' only year-round (warm weather) multi-sport Olympic Training Center, Chula Vista offers training to world-class Olympians throughout the course of the year.  The facility is used for sports such as archery, tennis, track, field hockey, softball, soccer, and cycling.  Visitors and guests are encouraged to take a free tour of the facilities, and also peruse the gift shop which sells memorabilia to guests.

One of the most popular amphitheatres in the nation is located within Chula Vista as well.  Coors Amphitheatre is an outdoor theater with 10,000 reserved seats and 10,000 additional seats on the manicured lawn.  Chula Vista's harbor provides visitors with gorgeous views and attractions.  There are various activities that take place on the harbor, including whale-watching tours, sport fishing tours, and even sight seeing adventures. 

Shoppers who live in or visit Chula Vista never come away disappointed.  The Chula Vista Center is a large shopping center which provides several first class retail stores and restaurants.  Historic Third Avenue provides shopping for all ages, and provides guests with easily accessible stores and shops.
